Entrepreneurship Catalyst

Open to those working in HE or FE either individually or as a team to deliver exceptional entrepreneurship education or practice inside or outside the curriculum. The focus of this award is on supporting and enabling pre-starts, start-ups and growing ventures which may be creating or intending to create value in the private, public or third sector. An individual or team may enter. Teams must comprise two or more individuals who work together (or have worked together in the last 12 months) on a distinct entrepreneurship education or practice initiative. The individual or team may work within the curriculum, outside the curriculum or both. The judges will be looking for exceptional projects and initiatives that support individuals to develop the capabilities they need for an entrepreneurial future.

The individual or team self-nominates for this award.

Winner receives £500, trophy and certificate. Applicants self-nominate.

Enterprise Catalyst

The focus of this award is on developing broad enterprise skills and attributes to be applied in any context including employment and intrepreneurship. An individual or team may enter. Teams must comprise two or more individuals who work together (or have worked together in the last 12 months) on a distinct enterprise education or practice initiative. The individual or team may work within the curriculum, outside the curriculum or both. The judges will be looking for exceptional projects and initiatives that support individuals to develop broad enterprise skills and attributes for their future lives.

The individual or team self-nominates for this award.

Enterprise for Good Award

Sponsored by Enactus UK and Ireland

The Enterprise for Good Award celebrates individuals or teams (from HE or FE staff) who harness the transformative power of enterprise education to empower others to uplift communities and drive sustainable change. In an era marked by significant challenges such as climate change and social inequality, these champions equip individuals with the tools and knowledge needed to navigate the complexities of our world through innovation and business skillsets. The individual or team may work within the curriculum, outside the curriculum or both. The judges will be looking for exceptional projects and initiatives that empower others to use enterprise and innovation to create a better more sustainable world for us all. All team members must be employed by one or more UK higher or further education institutions. Applicants self-nominate.

Rising Star in Enterprise Education

This award is designed to recognise an exceptional individual at the early stage of their enterprise or entrepreneurship education or practice career. They should have been working in enterprise for three years or less and may be working inside or outside the curriculum in higher or further education. The judges are particularly keen to recognise individuals who are already making an exceptional contribution while demonstrating their potential for transformational future impact on their organisation’s development and delivery of enterprise and entrepreneurship education and support.

The entrant must be nominated by someone else.

Winner receives £500, trophy and certificate. Applicants are nominated by a colleague or a senior manager.

Pioneer in Enterprise Education

This award recognises an exceptional individual who is actively influencing and driving transformational change and creating impact within their organisation and across the sector. They will be having a major impact on the development and delivery of enterprise and entrepreneurship education and practice within and beyond their organisation. The award is designed to recognise an exceptional individual pioneering change in enterprise or entrepreneurship education / practice inside or outside the curriculum in higher or further education. This award is open to individuals at any stage of their career.

The entrant must be nominated by someone else.

Winner receives £500, trophy and certificate. Applicants are nominated by a colleague or a senior manager.

Inclusive Entrepreneurship Education or Support Award

This award recognises an individual who demonstrates outstanding leadership in advancing inclusive entrepreneurship education or support. It celebrates those who go beyond a commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and actively drive cultural and systemic change within their institution, organisation, or wider entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Applicants should demonstrate how they have broadened access to entrepreneurship education or support, championed diverse entrepreneurial pathways, and recognised alternative forms of entrepreneurship, including social, community-based, creative and sustainable ventures. Particular consideration will be given to individuals who champion underrepresented or underserved communities, challenge structural barriers, embed inclusive practice, and influence colleagues and stakeholders to create more equitable and representative entrepreneurial environments.

The award will be made to the applicant who most clearly evidences sustained leadership, a strong ethos and commitment to EDI, and demonstrable impact in creating meaningful and lasting cultural change in entrepreneurship education or support.

Kate Beresford Award for Administrative Support of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Education

This award recognises an individual or team whose exceptional behind-the-scenes administrative support has enabled outstanding enterprise and entrepreneurship education practice. Through meticulous coordination, effective operational systems, and unwavering commitment, the nominee ensures that enterprise and entrepreneurship education initiatives run smoothly, with maximum impact and minimal disruption. The winner of the Kate Beresford Award demonstrates that outstanding administrative support is fundamental to nurturing a vibrant enterprise and entrepreneurship ecosystem.  

Kate Beresford was for many years the beating heart of EEUK. Kate was lost to us after a devastating illness shortly after she retired. Kate provided management and administrative support to the organisation and ensured that the vision of multiple chairs and presidents became reality. She worked with energy, compassion and dedication ensuring that EEUK was able to become the welcoming and effective organisation which it is today.
